Privacy notice
How we handle the data you give us when you ask for a proposal: what data, why, for how long and what rights you have.

Who we are
The controller of your data is Sol de Volta. Privacy contact: ola@soldevolta.com. We have no data protection officer (not required at this stage).
What this service does
We receive your request for a proposal for your solar system and contact you to carry out an assessment (remote first; a site visit only if needed) and prepare a written proposal. We reply within 48 hours.
This page has no prices, orders or payments and does not receive files. Photos are optional and are sent by email, not through the request.
Intended for adults (18+). We do not seek data from children.
What data we process, why, on what legal basis and for how long
Legal bases (GDPR Art. 6(1)): (b) steps at your request before a contract; (a) your consent; (f) legitimate interests of the controller.
Retention periods
- R-A: 12 months after last contact if no contract; then we delete or anonymise. Earlier on request.
- R-B: photos received by email deleted (from the mailbox, including its trash) within 30 days after the assessment is completed or when you withdraw; at most 90 days if the request does not proceed.
- R-C: survey answers identifiable for 12 months (with R-A); then anonymous aggregate only, no identification.
- R-D: consent record for the life of the related request data plus 3 years; we keep only the record.
- R-E: until you withdraw consent; review at 24 months.
- R-F: technical logs 30 days; backups 30 days.
- R-G: as R-A, but deleted or redacted at once if the note contains health or third-party data.
- R-H: request saved on this device: up to 24 h after the last save, on send, on start again or when you untick the box.

Legitimate interests (f), in short: keeping proof of consent and of the notice and being able to answer claims (F-15, F-18 after the request); protecting the form against abuse and failures (F-19); measuring request sources without cookies (F-20). We process the minimum, for a short time, in a way you would expect on a form like this. You can object (see “Your rights”).

Privacy acknowledgement (required)
I have read the Privacy notice. I know the controller is Sol de Volta and that my data will be used to answer my request.
Optional survey (F-15)
I agree that the answers I gave to the questions marked with • may be stored and used to study the market and improve the service. If I do not tick this box, those answers are not sent or stored. I can withdraw this consent at any time by writing to ola@soldevolta.com. The answer to my request and the quote do not depend on this consent.
Contact about offers (F-16)
I want to be contacted by email about offers after my request. I can withdraw this consent at any time.
Save the request on this device (F-30)
Save this request on this device for 24 h, so you can resume it later (optional). It stays on this device only. We delete it when you send, or right away if you untick this box. It does not depend on the survey.
Notice on submit
By submitting, your data goes to Sol de Volta, the controller. Details in the Privacy notice.
Required data and consequences
To send the request we need your name, mobile number and postcode, and your confirmation that you have read this notice. Without them we cannot answer the request. All other questions are optional, and so are the survey, contact about offers and photos: the request works without them.
We do not ask for passwords to equipment or monitoring portals; if you send one, we delete it and advise you to change it.
Who we share data with
We use providers that process data on our behalf, for example for the form, the request record, sending email and hosting the page, always under a processing agreement (GDPR Art. 28).
We do not sell your data and do not use automated decision-making: the assessment and the proposal are reviewed by a person.
Transfers outside the EU
We prefer services with data in the EU. If a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we require appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision).
Your rights
At any time you may: access your data, rectify it, erase it, restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, request portability (for data processed by consent or at your request), and withdraw consent without affecting what was done before.
To withdraw a consent or use a right, write to ola@soldevolta.com. We delete or flag your record within 7 days and confirm in writing within 30 days. Backups expire up to 30 days later.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), www.cnpd.pt.
Changes
If we change providers, purposes or the controller, we update this notice. Consent text version: B-v5 (the Portuguese version prevails).
